After losing to Silver Lake the last time they met, Rock Creek decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. In a tight contest that could have gone either way, the Rock Creek Mustangs made off with a 58-57 victory over the Silver Lake Eagles. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Mustangs.

Rock Creek's win bumped their record up to 9-1. As for Silver Lake, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rock Creek will host Wamego at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Rock Creek's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last eight games. As for Silver Lake, it'll be a Battle of the Birds when the Silver Lake Eagles face off against the Sabetha Bluejays at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
