Meanwhile, Ralston Valley faced Arvada West in a battle between two of the state's top teams two weeks ago. The Mustangs breezed past the Wildcats to the tune of 49-20. The result was nothing new for the Mustangs, who have now won seven contests by 20 points or more so far this season.

Columbine lost to Ralston Valley on the road by a decisive 35-21 margin in their previous meeting back in October. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of the Mustangs' Zeke Andrews, who threw for 273 yards and a pair of touchdowns while completing 77.8% of his passes, and also rushed for 100 yards and one score on only ten carries.
