Football Recap: North Wins Going Away Against Harvey

The North Rangers got the win against the Harvey Red Raiders on Friday by a conclusive 47-22. With the Rangers ahead 27-7 at the half, the match was all but over already.

When it comes to explaining why Harvey lost, don't look at Shahn Alston. Despite the final result, he rushed for 106 yards and one score on only 14 carries, and also picked up 47 receiving yards and one TD. The bulk of those rushing yards came from one huge play: a run that gained an incredible 54 yards. Chris Burt Jr. was another key player, picking up 73 receiving yards and one touchdown.

North has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 51.0 points this season. As for Harvey, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

North didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 33-0 loss against Madison on the 5th. As for Harvey, they have also already played their next game, a 28-20 defeat against Lakewood on the 5th.
