St. Mary put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They enjoyed a cozy 56-40 win over the DSST: Green Valley Ranch Raptors. For the Pirates, this counts as revenge for the 55-49 victory the Raptors walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2024.

St. Mary's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kisean Dawson led the charge by dropping a double-double with 17 points and 11 rebounds. Cruz Artaechevarria was another key player, going 5-for-9 on his way to 13 points in addition to seven boards and five assists.

St. Mary's was working as a unit and finished the game with 12 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as DSST: Green Valley Ranch only racked up six.

When it comes to explaining why DSST: Green Valley Ranch lost, don't look at Udy Umo. Despite the final result, he shot 80% from the field en route to 18 points and eight rebounds. Another player making a difference was Skyyaire Russell, who posted 13 points.
