Soccer Game Preview: Glenbard South vs. Proviso East + How To Watch

The Glenbard South Raiders will face off against the Proviso East Pirates at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Proviso East took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Glenbard South, who comes in off a win.

Glenbard South took a loss when they played away from home on Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Saturday. They never let Elmwood Park get on the board and left with a 2-0 win. Glenbard South's winning goal came courtesy of Clayton Nallbani.

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Proviso East and Hinsdale South meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Thursday. The Pirates came up short against the Hornets, falling 8-1. Even though they lost, Proviso East's still made a splash on offense and bumped their average scoring up to 4.2 goals per game (they're now ranked -1th in scoring overall).

Glenbard South's victory bumped their record up to 6-8-5. As for Proviso East, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-11-1 record this season.

Glenbard South couldn't quite get it done against Proviso East when the teams last played back in October of 2024 as they fell 4-2. Can the Raiders avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
