Football Game Preview: Dougherty Trojans vs. Peach County Trojans + How To Watch

Dougherty will venture away from home to take on Peach County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Having struggled with four losses in a row, Dougherty turned things around against Monroe on Friday. They managed a 23-19 win over the Golden Tornadoes.

Dougherty's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Micah Joyner led the charge by rushing for 114 yards on only ten carries, while also throwing for 75 yards and one touchdown. Daishon Malone helped out on the ground, rushing for 111 yards.

Meanwhile, everything came up roses for Peach County against Westover on Thursday as the team secured a 42-14 victory. The result was nothing new for the Trojans, who have now won three contests by 21 points or more so far this season.

Dougherty better keep an eye on Ashton Barton. He was instrumental in Peach County's win, rushing for 181 yards and a pair of TDs while picking up 9.1 yards per carry, and also catching one score. Barton showed off some serious burst, cutting through the defense on one rush that went for 69 yards. Zion Hudson was another key player, gaining 68 total yards and two touchdowns.

Dougherty's record is now 2-4. As for Peach County, their record now sits at 6-0.

Dougherty was taken down by Peach County 49-14 when the teams last played back in October of 2024. That matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point Dougherty was down 21-0.
