Joseph Pineda made a big impact no matter where he played. He tossed three innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (five). He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. That triple marked the first that he's hit this season.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jordan Castillo, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two triples, three RBI, and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Jordan Albarado, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-4.

Uvalde pushed their record up to 5-0-1 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 6.6 runs. As for Winn, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.
