After only seven points in their last game, Newton South made sure to put some points up on the board against Sharon on Saturday. The Lions came out on top against the Eagles by a score of 33-20. The Lions' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

When it comes to explaining why Sharon lost, don't look at Brady Shuffain. Despite the final result, he threw for 223 yards on 13 of 22 attempts, and also punched in one score on the ground.

Newton South is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-3 record this season. As for Sharon, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-5.
