Football Game Preview: Mount Ida Lions vs. Bigelow Panthers

The Mount Ida Lions will venture away from home to square off against the Bigelow Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Mount Ida will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.

Mount Ida is headed into the matchup after thoroughly thrashing Hector: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Lions blew the Wildcats out of the water with a 49-6 final score. The result was nothing new for the Lions, who have now won five games by 29 points or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, Bigelow had to suffer through a 47-14 loss at the hands of Mountainburg.

Mount Ida's victory bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Bigelow, they dropped their record down to 2-5 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Things could have been worse for Mount Ida, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 35-21 loss to Bigelow when the teams last played back in October of 2024. Can the Lions avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
