Soccer Recap: Pitman Victorious

While Pitman's victory against Grant wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Pride sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over the Pacers on Saturday. The final result isn't all that surprising considering Pitman's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 24th, while Grant are ranked 215th).

Aaron Garcia and Logan Watson scored both of Pitman's goals, bringing their combined season tally to four goals.

Pitman's victory bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Grant, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-4-1.

Coming up, Pitman will be playing at home against Johansen at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Grant, they are taking a road trip to take on Folsom at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
