Football Recap: Silver's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past + How To Watch

Silver had lost three straight, but after bumping their record up to 5-3 on Friday that streak is in the rearview. They walked away with a 21-13 win over the Chaparral Lobos. For the Fighting Colts, this counts as revenge for the 20-14 victory the Lobos walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2024.

Urijah Arrey had an outrageously good game as he rushed for 125 yards and one TD on only 14 carries. Those 125 rushing yards gave him a new career-high.

As for Chaparral, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-2. The matchup marked their lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Despite the loss, Chaparral still got an impressive performance from Raul Lopez, who rushed for 157 yards and one score on only nine carries.

Silver wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 21-17 win against Albuquerque Academy on the 17th. As for Chaparral, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 50-0 defeat against St. Pius X on the 18th.
