Football Recap: Norland Has No Trouble Against Cocoa

Norland won the last time they faced Cocoa and things went their way on Friday too. The Vikings put the hurt on the Tigers with a sharp 28-6 victory. The result was nothing new for the Vikings, who have now won three contests by 22 points or more so far this season.

Norland can attribute much of their success to Kai Moore, who threw for 218 yards and a pair of touchdowns while completing 73.7% of his passes. The dominant performance also gave Moore a new career-high in passer rating (146.4).

Norland didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Cocoa to a completion percentage of just 22.2%. The Vikings hasn't an opponent to post a completion percentage of 0.63 or higher in three consecutive matchups.

The win snapped Norland's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 3-4 record. As for Cocoa, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-4.

Looking ahead, Norland will face off against American Heritage at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Patriots will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each game than the last. As for Cocoa, they will challenge Apopka at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Tigers will be up against the Blue Darters' rather soft defense (which has allowed 37 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
