Soccer Recap: Fort Scott Takes a Loss

Fort Scott was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 10-2 to the Independence Bulldogs. Fort Scott were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 6-2.

Fort Scott's loss dropped their record down to 0-12-1. As for Independence, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-2 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fort Scott will welcome Liberty HomeSchool Alliance at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Independence, they will host Chanute on Thursday. Independence will be up against Chanute's rather soft defense (which has allowed 2.54 goals per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
