Flag Football Recap: Eastmark Skates Past Desert Sunrise with Ease

While Eastmark put up plenty of points on Thursday, the same can't be said for Desert Sunrise. The Firebirds blew past the Golden Hawks, posting a 35-0 victory. The Firebirds haven't had any issues with the Golden Hawks recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Paige McCrabb had another great game (as she tends to do), throwing for 250 yards and three TDs.

Eastmark didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off five passes before the game was over. Kinsley McCarty led the group effort, picking up two of those interceptions all by herself. She got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Eastmark's record is now 10-3. As for Desert Sunrise, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-9.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Eastmark will challenge Deer Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Firebirds 5.6, the Skyhawks 8.1) so any points scored will be well earned. As for Desert Sunrise, they will take on Salpointe Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Lancers' defense has only allowed four points per game this season, so the Golden Hawks' offense will have their work cut out for them.
