Basketball Recap: Harding Comes Up Short

Harding suffered their closest loss since January 15th on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Chaney Cowboys by a score of 60-58. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Friday (55), the Raiders still had to take the loss.

Chaney found their leader in sophomore Alyssa Brown, who dropped a double-double with 25 points and ten rebounds. The contest was Brown's fifth in a row with at least 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Simone Lewis, who went 5-for-10 en route to 12 points in addition to six assists and five boards.

Harding now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Chaney, they pushed their record up to 2-0 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.

Coming up, Harding will welcome Washington at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Chaney, they are headed away from home for the first time to square off against Steubenville at 1:15 p.m. on Saturday.
