Gering falls despite strong effort from Neveah Hrasky

The Gering Bulldogs pushed their score all the way to 55 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell to Scottsbluff 61-55. Gering has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

When it comes to explaining why Gering lost, one person who can't be blamed is Neveah Hrasky. Despite the final result, she scored 24 points along with seven rebounds. Kelsey Brady was another key contributor, scoring four points along with six rebounds and three steals.

Gering's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Scottsbluff, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season.

Gering will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against Lincoln Christian at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Lincoln Christian will be coming into the match with an undefeated record on the line. Scottsbluff will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Waverly on January 5, 2024.
