Volleyball Recap: Legacy Christian Academy's Victory on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Nine

Legacy Christian Academy entered their tilt with Riverdale Christian on Thursday with eight consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with nine. They put the hurt on the Ambassadors with a sharp 3-0 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in September.

While Legacy Christian Academy won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-18, 27-25.

Legacy Christian Academy can attribute much of their success to Miley Rubio, who had five digs and five aces. Those five aces gave Rubio a new career-high.

Rubio wasn't the only good servers: Legacy Christian Academy was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 16 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least nine aces in three consecutive matchups.

Legacy Christian Academy's victory bumped their record up to 12-5. As for Riverdale Christian, they are on an 11-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-10.
