East Rowan's leading rusher did his thing again on Friday. Jaxon Lyons rushed for 246 yards and one TD while picking up 9.1 yards per carry, good enough for us to rate the performance as the best he's had all season long. He is becoming a predictor of East Rowan's success: when he posts at least 80 rushing yards the team is undefeated (and 1-5 when he doesn't).

Coming up, Lyons and East Rowan will square off against Concord at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The game will pit Lyons up against the Spiders' star RB Jullian Shipp. Will the matchup be decided in the trenches? We'll have our answer very soon.
