Havana got a massive performance out of Hannah Hodgson, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with five RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those two runs gave Hodgson a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Addie Atwater, who went 2-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple.
Havana has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-1-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for Peoria Heights, they dropped their record down to 0-6 with the loss, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season.
Looking ahead, Havana will venture away from home to square off against Farmington at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Farmers will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something the Ducks surely won't give up without a fight. As for Peoria Heights, they will be playing at home against Illini West at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Patriots are facing the Chargers at the right time seeing as the Chargers are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
