Softball Recap: Cottondale Extends Winning Streak to Three

Cottondale entered their tilt with Paxton on Tuesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They put the hurt on the Bobcats with a sharp 11-4 win. This was a revenge game for the Hornets: when they faced off against the Bobcats back in March, they had to take a 7-4 defeat.

The team relied heavily on Marley Green, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was Paige Carter, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Cottondale's victory bumped their record up to 13-4. As for Paxton, their loss dropped their record down to 9-6.

Coming up, Cottondale will be playing at home against Bethlehem at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Paxton, they will head out on the road to take on Central at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Bobcats' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Jaguars have averaged an impressive 8.3 runs per game this season.
