Volleyball Recap: Hi-Plains Beats Idalia for Their Fourth Straight Win

Hi-Plains hadn't done well against Idalia recently (they were 0-7 in their previous seven matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Patriots walked away with a 3-1 win over the Wolves. Winning may never get old, but the Patriots sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-16, 24-26, 25-23.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Hi-Plains to victory, but perhaps none more so than Alyssa Rueb, who had 11 digs. That's the most digs Rueb has posted over her last eight matchups.

Hi-Plains' victory bumped their record up to 8-2. As for Idalia, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season.

Hi-Plains has already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Briggsdale on the 20th. After both having extra time off, Idalia and Stratton will shake off the rust and duke it out at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.
