After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Xavier College Prep, Corona del Sol was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They blew past the Desert Vista Thunder 3-0. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in September.

One reason for the win was Corona del Sol's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-15, 25-11.

Corona del Sol was led to victory by Avalon Legg and Brenna Walsh. Legg had nine digs and five aces, while Walsh had 11 digs. That's the most aces Legg has posted since back in November of 2024.

Corona del Sol's win bumped their record up to 31-6. As for Desert Vista, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 14-17.
