Baseball Recap: Colony Comes Up Short

If Colony was riding high fresh off their 16-7 takedown of Don Lugo on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Titans fell just short of the South Hills Huskies by a score of 5-4 on Monday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Titans of the 5-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2025.

Aidan Castro made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was AJ Rangel, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one run.

Colony's loss dropped their record down to 9-8-1. As for South Hills, their win was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 15-4.

While Colony had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
