Volleyball Recap: Centennial Cougars vs. Eastview Lightning

It was a good run, but Centennial unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell just short of the Eastview Lightning by a score of 2-1.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Centennial sadly dropped the once that decided the match. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 19-25, 15-7.

Despite the loss, Centennial still got an impressive performance from Emerson Jennings, who had six digs and 13 assists.

Eastview can attribute much of their success to Katelyn Molitor, who had nine digs and two aces.

Centennial's loss dropped their record down to 12-9. As for Eastview, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a massive bump to their 14-16 record this season.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Burnsville the next time they take the court. Centennial will head out to face Burnsville at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, while Eastview will host them at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
