Softball Recap: McIntosh Takes a Loss

If McIntosh was feeling good fresh off their 17-0 takedown of Lovejoy last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Chiefs came up short against the Starr's Mill Panthers on Tuesday, falling 18-9. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since September 21, 2023, but that streak is no more.

McIntosh now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Starr's Mill, their victory bumped their record up to 9-5.

McIntosh and Starr's Mill could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings. The Chiefs (ranked 194th) will meet Pike County (ranked 48th) at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Starr's Mill will take on Northside at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday with a big rank disadvantage (95 vs. 13).
