Memorial's and Mineral Wells's game on Friday was close at halftime, but Memorial turned on the heat in the second half with two goals. The Memorial Mavericks never let the Mineral Wells Rams onto the board and left with a 3-0 win. The Mavericks might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four contests by three goals or more this season.

Memorial pushed their record up to 7-1-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those four matchups. As for Mineral Wells, their loss dropped their record down to 5-3-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Memorial will challenge Abilene at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Abilene's last three games have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Mineral Wells, they will face off against Decatur at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Decatur will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something Mineral Wells surely won't give up without a fight.
