Volleyball Recap: Amsterdam Comes Up Short

Amsterdam was not able to break out of their rough patch on Sunday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Fonda-Fultonville Valley Hawks. If the Rams were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Valley Hawks when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Amsterdam's loss dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Fonda-Fultonville, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-3-2 record this season.

Amsterdam will square off against Gloversville at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Fonda-Fultonville, they have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Schuylerville on the 12th.
