Basketball Recap: Hialeah Starts Season with Loss on the Road

Hialeah had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They fell just short of the Southridge Spartans by a score of 54-51 on Tuesday. The Thoroughbreds were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Spartans apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2021.

Hialeah and Southridge will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next games. The next time the Thoroughbreds see the court they'll take on Hialeah-Miami Lakes at 7:30 p.m. on December 1. As for Southridge, their break will end when they face Coral Gables at 7:30 p.m. on December 2.
