Volleyball Recap: Darlington Falls Short of May River in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Darlington can now relate to. They lost 3-0 to the May River Sharks on Wednesday. The Falcons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-18, 25-10.

May River was led to victory by Emerson Skirtich and Kerrington Kossack. Skirtich had 13 digs and one assist, while Kossack had ten assists and two aces. Skirtich has been hot recently, having posted ten or more digs the last three times she's played.

Darlington's loss dropped their record down to 6-10. As for May River, they pushed their record up to 25-9 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home.

Darlington does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for May River, they will challenge South Aiken on Monday.
