Basketball Recap: Mira Mesa's Undefeated Season over After Four Games

Mira Mesa lost against Montgomery back in February of 2022 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Marauders took a 75-67 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Aztecs. The loss was the Marauders' first of the season.

DK Montgomery was his usual excellent self, going 9-for-16 on his way to 23 points and seven boards for Montgomery. Montgomery's big performance that morning made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points. Xavier Guerrero was another key player, shooting 50% from the field en route to 11 points in addition to eight rebounds and three steals.

Having lost for the first time this season, Mira Mesa fell to 3-1. As for Montgomery, the victory made it two in a row for them and also bumps their season record up to 3-1.

Mira Mesa didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 72-64 win against Sage Creek on the 28th. As for Montgomery, they have also already played their next game, an 80-43 loss against Mission Bay on the 28th.
