Basketball Recap: Erie-Prophetstown Takes a Loss

On Friday, the Erie-Prophetstown Panthers were within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 45-40 to the Mendota Trojans. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Erie-Prophetstown's loss dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Mendota, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Erie-Prophetstown will welcome Hall at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Mendota, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against LaSalle-Peru at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Mendota is facing LaSalle-Peru at the right time seeing as LaSalle-Peru is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
