Churubusco posted their closest win since April 29th on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Prairie Heights Panthers, sneaking past 3-1. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 4-3 two weeks ago.

Churubusco saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Weston Skinner, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double. Another was Brody Lawrence, who got on base in both of his plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.

Churubusco's victory bumped their record up to 8-9. As for Prairie Heights, they dropped their record down to 4-11 with the loss, which was their sixth straight on the road.

Coming up, Churubusco will face off against Fort Wayne Canterbury at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Eagles' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Cavaliers have averaged an impressive 9 runs per game this season. As for Prairie Heights, they will head out to face off against Fairfield at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
