Softball Game Preview: Southern Wells Raiders vs. Fort Wayne Wayne Generals

Southern Wells is on a ten-game streak of home losses dating back to last season, and Fort Wayne Wayne a four-game streak of away losses also dating back to last season. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Monday. The Southern Wells Raiders will welcome the Fort Wayne Wayne Generals at 5:30 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

The home team had won the previous three meetings between Southern Wells and Eastbrook, and Eastbrook kept the tradition alive. The Raiders lost 15-1 to the Panthers on Thursday.

Southern Wells saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kaylea Coffel, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two doubles and one run.

Fort Wayne Wayne couldn't beat Bluffton on Wednesday even though they stacked four runs on them in the third inning. The Generals came up short against the Tigers, falling 21-4.

Fort Wayne Wayne's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Southern Wells, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-7.

Southern Wells took their win against Fort Wayne Wayne in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 12-0 score. Will the Raiders repeat their success, or do the Generals have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
