Basketball Recap: Lakeland Christian Beats Tohopekaliga for Their Third Straight Victory + How To Watch

Lakeland Christian had won two straight games and Joseph Donohue did his part to make it three on Friday. The Vikings strolled past the Tohopekaliga Tigers with points to spare, taking the game 66-52 thanks in part to Donohue, who went 13-for-24 en route to 33 points and five rebounds. He has become a key player for Lakeland Christian: the team is undefeated when he posts at least 25 points, but 1-2 otherwise.

Another player making a difference was D.J. Howard, who dropped a double-double with 17 points and ten boards. His big performance that evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 17 points.

Lakeland Christian's victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Tohopekaliga, their loss dropped their record down to 3-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lakeland Christian will challenge Ridgeview Global Studies Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. The Explorers have been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Tohopekaliga, they will take on Gateway at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Tigers will need to watch out since the Panthers have now posted at least 55 points in their last three contests.
