Baseball Recap: Intermountain Christian Wins Going Away Against Draper APA

Intermountain Christian won the last time they faced Draper APA and things went their way on Friday too. The Lions put the hurt on the Eagles with a sharp 16-6 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Lions.

Coy White was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out nine batters over 4.1 innings while giving up three earned (and three unearned) runs off four hits. Those nine strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Charlie Erickson was a standout: he went 3-for-4 with three runs, four RBI, and one double. Another player making a difference was Stratton Humphreys, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with five RBI, one triple, and one run.

Intermountain Christian was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .429. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Draper APA only posted a batting average of .200.

Intermountain Christian now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Draper APA, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.
