Volleyball Recap: Grace Christian Falls Short Against Ranked Nikiski

Grace Christian faced Nikiski in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Grizzlies fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 1-0. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, with their most recent defeat being a 3-0 loss last Saturday.

Grace Christian may have fallen short, but they were sure consistent: they scored 18 points in every single set they played. The final score came out to 25-18.

Grace Christian has been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 14-18-1 record this season. As for Nikiski, they pushed their record up to 23-9-5 with the win, which was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Grace Christian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-1 loss against Mountain City Christian Academy on the 11th. As for Nikiski, they have also already played their next contest, a 1-0 victory against Susitna Valley on the 11th.
