Football Recap: Bloomfield Gets the Win

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Bloomfield walked away with it. They came out on top against the Sutton Mustangs by a score of 34-26 on Thursday.

Brock Jeannoutot continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 242 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 9.7 yards per carry. Jeannoutot is crushing it when it comes to rushing yards: he's rushed for at least 140 every time he's taken the field this season.

Several Mustangs players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Keith Kliewer, who threw for 106 yards and a pair of TDs while completing 71.4% of his passes, and also rushed for 65 yards.

Bloomfield's win bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Sutton, their loss dropped their record down to 6-3.

Looking ahead, Bloomfield will square off against Shelby-Rising City on Friday. The Huskies' defense has only allowed ten points per game this season, so the Bees' offense will have their work cut out for them. Sutton does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
