Baseball Game Preview: Oak Hall Eagles vs. Seven Rivers Christian Warriors

The Oak Hall Eagles will take on the Seven Rivers Christian Warriors at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. The two teams were dealt some close losses in their previous games and are determined not to let this one get away.

On Friday, Oak Hall didn't have quite enough to beat Chiefland and fell 7-5.

Oak Hall saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brody Beaupre, who went 1-for-2 with three RBI. Lincoln Jones also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Meanwhile, Seven Rivers Christian fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Gulf on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Buccaneers by a score of 6-4. The loss continues a trend for the Warriors in their matchups with the Buccaneers: they've now lost three in a row.

Brayden Craver made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Max Robbins, who scored a run while going 3-for-4.

Seven Rivers Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Oak Hall, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Monday's matchup might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Oak Hall has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .500. However, it's not like Seven Rivers Christian struggles in that department as they've averaged .496. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
