Baseball Recap: Forestview Takes a Loss

If Forestview was riding high fresh off their 11-0 takedown of Bessemer City last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Forestview Jaguars fell just short of the East Gaston Warriors by a score of 16-15 on Friday. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Wednesday (11), the Jaguars still had to take the loss.

Henry Jarman made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of CJ Davis, who scored two runs while going 2-for-5.

Even though they lost, Forestview kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in April of 2024.

Having lost for the first time this season, Forestview fell to 2-1. As for East Gaston, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Forestview will face off against Shelby at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for East Gaston, they will challenge Highland Tech at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup will give Highland Tech their first taste of in-conferenceaction this season.
