Basketball Game Preview: Wadley Bulldogs vs. Cedar Bluff Tigers

Having just played yesterday, the Wadley Bulldogs will head out on the road to face off against the Cedar Bluff Tigers at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in Wadley's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.

While Wadley didn't have the best season last year (they finished 9-12), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They breezed by Horseshoe Bend to the tune of 69-42 on Friday.

Wadley's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Frisco Robertson led the charge by going 9 for 15 on his way to 26 points in addition to seven steals and six boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Damarious Spraddling, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds.

Wadley smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Cedar Bluff duked it out withSpring Garden on Monday. Cedar Bluff might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting Spring Garden an easy 71-49 victory. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 348th, while the Panthers are ranked 76th).

Wadley pushed their record up to 4-1 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.3 points per game. As for Cedar Bluff, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season.
