Basketball Recap: Pierce County Comes Up Short

Pierce County managed to slip by Jeff Davis the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Bears lost 62-39 to the Yellowjackets on Thursday. The Bears' loss continues a trend for the team, making it four in a row dating back to last season.

Pierce County's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Jeff Davis, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Looking ahead, Pierce County will challenge Bacon County at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. The Bears will be up against the Raiders' rather soft defense (which has allowed 64.67 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Jeff Davis, they will square off against Atkinson County at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.
