Preview: Worth County Rams vs. Sumter County Panthers
Two dominant guards in Jariah Williams and Jesstynie Scott are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Worth County Rams will be playing in front of their home fans against the Sumter County Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Worth County has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
Worth County pushed their score all the way to 62 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 77-62 bruising from Fitzgerald. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Saturday (60), Worth County still had to take the loss.
Meanwhile, Sumter County entered their tilt with Dodge County with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Sumter County strolled past Dodge County with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 37-23.
Worth County has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-13 record this season. As for Sumter County, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 16-7 record this season.
Worth County was dealt a bruising 67-30 loss at the hands of Sumter County in their previous matchup back in January. The game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Worth County was down 38-16.
