Volleyball Recap: Heritage Academy Victorious

Heritage Academy won the last time they faced Crosspoint Christian and things went their way on Friday too. The Warrior walked away with a 3-1 win over Crosspoint Christian.

Heritage Academy had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 14-25, 25-18, 25-21, 25-22.

Despite the loss, Crosspoint Christian saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Julie Liggett had nine kills and four aces. Liggett has been hot recently, having posted two or more aces the last four times she's played.

The victory got Heritage Academy back to even at 1-1.

Heritage Academy will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Lighthouse Prep Academy at 7:00 p.m. on the 25th. As for Crosspoint Christian, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-2 victory against Liberty Christian Academy on the 2nd.
