Soccer Game Preview: Oakwood/Catlin vs. Iroquois West

Oakwood/Catlin is a perfect 10-0 against Iroquois West since September of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Comets will head out on the road to challenge the Raiders at 4:30 p.m. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Oakwood/Catlin is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Danville just ended the team's eight-match winning streak on Saturday. They lost 6-0 to the Vikings.

Meanwhile, Iroquois West didn't have quite enough to beat Grant Park on Monday and fell 2-1. Iroquois West have struggled against Grant Park recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

Iroquois West's loss dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Oakwood/Catlin, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-5.

Oakwood/Catlin took their victory against Iroquois West when the teams last played on September 4th by a conclusive 6-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Comets since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
