Volleyball Recap: Westbury's Losing Streak Snapped at Six Games

Westbury had to endure a six-match losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against the Waltrip Rams by a score of 3-1 on Tuesday. This was a revenge game for the Huskies: when they faced off against the Rams back in September, they had to take a 3-1 defeat.

Westbury had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 25-15, 25-18, 25-21.

The victory was their first at home , bumping their record up to 6-11. As for Waltrip, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last nine matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-18 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Westbury is set to take on their familiar foe Madison at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Waltrip will challenge rival Sharpstown at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
