Football Recap: Daniel Vaita's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Hamilton over Chandler + How To Watch

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Hamilton couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They fell 30-17 to the Chandler Wolves on Saturday. The game marked the Huskies' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Hamilton's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Daniel Vaita, who threw for 193 yards and two touchdowns. Roye Oliver III was Vaita's top target, picking up 96 receiving yards and one TD.

It was another big night for Will Mencl, who rushed for 105 yards and three scores, and also threw for 201 yards while completing 78.9% of his passes for Chandler. Mencl has been hot recently, having posted two or more rushing touchdowns the last four times he's played. A healthy portion of Mencl's aerial production (95 yards to be exact) went to Maxwell Sprott.

Having lost for the first time this season, Hamilton fell to 11-1. As for Chandler, their victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-2.

Hamilton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Chandler, they will head out to take on Basha at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Bears' defense has only allowed 13.9 points per game this season, so the Wolves' offense will have their work cut out for them.
