Apple Valley won the last time they faced Silverado and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Apple Valley Sun Devils skirted past the Silverado Hawks 8-7. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Sun Devils.
Oscar Lima looked comfortable as he struck out seven batters over two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Beau Lloyd, who went 3-for-4 with three doubles, three RBI, and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Wayde Munson, who scored two runs while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.
Apple Valley's record is now 2-0. As for Silverado, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.
Looking ahead, Apple Valley will take on Roosevelt at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Silverado, they are taking a road trip to face off against Eastside at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.
