Samuel Hyman made a splash while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run while striking out seven over seven innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Collin Rosenberg, who scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in March of 2024. TJ Maiello also deserves some recognition as he stole his first stolen base of the season.

While Wharton didn't have the best season last year (they finished 11-15), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They were the clear victor by a 13-1 margin over Tampa Bay Tech on Tuesday. The matchup marked the Wildcats' most dominant win of the season so far.

Connor Evans looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only a hit while striking out seven over four innings pitched. What's more, he gave up only zero walks, the fewest he's had since back in April of 2024.

At the plate, Wharton let Chris Stroud and Antonio Fawcett run wild. Stroud scored a run while going 1-for-2, while Fawcett scored a run while going 2-for-2. Another player making a difference was Chase Anello, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and two RBI.

Wharton was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .424. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Robinson pushed their record up to 5-1 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs over those games. As for Wharton, the win made it two in a row for them and also bumps their season record up to 5-1.

The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Thursday as neither team is afraid to steal. Robinson has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4.3 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Wharton struggles in that department as they've been averaging 2.7 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.

Robinson was able to grind out a solid victory over Wharton in their previous matchup back in March of 2023, winning 6-1. Will Robinson repeat their success, or does Wharton have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
