Volleyball Recap: Charleston Comes Up Short

Charleston was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Mahomet-Seymour Bulldogs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 back in September.

The final score came out to 25-12, 25-17.

Olivia Blagg paced Charleston's offense, picking up three kills. Blagg got some help from Charlie Milton and her eight assists. Jade Bowers controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Charleston's defeat dropped their record down to 5-26. As for Mahomet-Seymour, they are on a roll lately: they've won 17 of their last 19 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 30-4 record this season.

Charleston has already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Jersey on the 27th. As for Mahomet-Seymour, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Urbana on the 22nd.
