Basketball Recap: Union Local Comes Up Short

After flying high against Barnesville last Monday, Union Local came back down to earth. The Union Local Jets were dealt a 78-45 loss at the hands of the Carrollton Warriors on Saturday. The contest marked the Jets' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Union Local lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Brandon Mehl, who posted 11 points and five boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Dre Saunders, who put up ten points and six rebounds.

Union Local's defeat dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Carrollton, their victory bumped their record up to 3-4.

Union Local didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 64-55 win against Bellaire on the 3rd. As for Carrollton, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 67-49 victory against Salem on the 3rd.
